None of the land I tend or harvest nuts from is my own. People generously let me harvest nuts, and are usually grateful for my help taking care of the land. Here, I've dug out and piled invasive multiflora rose plants for a neighbor.

I plant free trees each spring in my SE Iowa community. This ensures that a lot of people will have access to nuts. As long as there's someone around who knows how to press oil, we'll have food.
